The Advanced Leadership Institute (TALI) recognizes the critical role a mentor plays in supporting Black leaders on their unique path towards professional advancement and navigating the corporate landscape.
Since launching in 2019, TALI has been fortunate to uphold the programing pillar of mentorship with the support of 134 individuals who have volunteered their time and talent to mentoring Executive Leadership Academy and Emerging Leaders Program participants. To demonstrate the Institute’s gratitude, TALI hosted a Mentor Recognition Reception to honor these individuals. The reception took place on October, 2 2024 at the August Wilson House, and included fellowship, live music, and special remarks from TALI Advisory Board Member and Founding Co-Chair Greg Spencer. TALI also recognized, Quintin Bullock, President of Community College of Allegheny County (CCAC), as a 2024 TALI Legacy Mentor—an executive who has mentored Executive Leadership Academy cohort members for five years.
TALI’s multi-faceted approach to positioning Black leaders for advancement includes world-class academic instruction, executive coaching, peer networking opportunities, sponsorship, and mentor relationships. The mentor relationships provide TALI cohort members with support and guidance while they are going through TALI’s program, as well as continued support after they complete the program.
“TALI’s mentorship component is an essential part of the institute’s strategy for helping its cohort members succeed and advance in their careers,” says Evan Frazier, President and CEO of The Advanced Leadership Institute. “We are incredibly grateful for the individuals who continue to pay it forward by serving as a TALI Mentor. As we approach National Mentoring Day, we wanted to take the time to celebrate our mentors and let them know how much we appreciate them and acknowledge their significant contributions.”
