The Advanced Leadership Institute (TALI) is pleased to announce the launch of its inaugural Unlocking Leadership Excellence Workshop. The workshop, which was piloted on September 25, 2024 at Giant Eagle Corporate, headquartered in Cranberry, PA, is uniquely designed to support frontline leaders—supervisors, team leaders, shift managers, and individuals seeking professional growth. During the one-day workshop, top industry experts covered a variety of topics focused on helping participants build practical skills needed to solve management and leadership challenges. The topics covered included:

  • A Formula for Success — a unique framework to help participants achieve professional and personal success.
  • Leading from Within — a personal assessment and understanding of behavioral tendencies, strengths, and potential blind spots to identify areas of growth.
  • Keys to Top Performance — learning what separates top from average performers and key traits of most productive employees; understanding how to activate and leverage these traits to result in major performance enhancements.
  • The Art of Managing People — learning about the importance of taking a vested interest in your team and how to lead and engage others in a way that meets the objectives of the organization.

“We were pleased to add this new training opportunity to TALI’s leadership program portfolio,” says Evan Frazier, President and CEO of The Advanced Leadership Institute. “Although our programs traditionally support the executive advancement of rising professionals to senior-level executives, our corporate partners asked us to apply some of the leadership training to support frontline leaders—a need many of our partners wanted to address. After numerous strategic conversations with our partner organizations, we developed the Unlocking Leadership Excellence Workshop to help prepare participants for entry-level management and leadership roles. We are extremely grateful for our partners, especially our event sponsors Eat’n Park Hospitality Group and Giant Eagle, for their enthusiasm and generous support in making this workshop possible.”

The Unlocking Leadership Excellence Workshop is an exclusive workshop that was made available to TALI’s sponsor organizations and their team members. It complements and expands on TALI’s mission to educate, develop, connect, and position Black leaders for meaningful advancement. Following the full-day training, TALI sponsors and dignitaries celebrated the participants at a special evening reception.

“Since 2019, we have partnered with TALI and sponsored participants for leadership programs year-over-year. TALI’s approach to leadership development is phenomenal, and the Institute has played a critical role in preparing our leaders for success,” says Kelly McCormick, Vice President of Inclusion and Talent Outreach and Engagement at Giant Eagle – TALI Alumna & Advisory Board Member. “This new workshop is an important part of our continued effort to build a pipeline of diverse leadership. Additionally, we are pleased to host the workshop at our new corporate headquarters.”

“We are excited to partner with TALI to provide additional leadership training for our team members,” says Jeff Broadhurst, CEO, Eat’n Park Hospitality Group – TALI CEO Council Member. “The work that TALI does aligns perfectly with our commitment to supporting and developing all our team members, including our future leaders. This effort is instrumental in preparing them for the next steps in their careers, ranging from team leaders to managers.”

In addition to the Unlocking Leadership Excellence Workshop, TALI offers:
